Christine Brittle, Ph.D.






Christine Brittle, Ph.D., is the founder of Uncommon Insights. A senior researcher with over 20 years' experience, the core of her work is the ability to bridge the content gap between technical experts and the people they are trying to reach. She is passionate about the power of communications to facilitate understanding, raise awareness, build partnerships, and motivate change.


  • Extensive research experience conducting focus groups, one-on-one interviews, intercepts, literature reviews, secondary data analysis, concept testing, and surveys.
  • Experienced communicator. Excels in developing clear, concise, and motivating messages. Writes fact sheets, reports, web copy, and technical reports.
  • Applies a theory-driven approach to research and communications, with an emphasis on applied social marketing techniques to develop and refine communications.
  • Published researcher and author and recipient of numerous awards, including an EPA Customer Service Award, a National Science Foundation dissertation award, and numerous academic fellowships.
  • Consistently recognized by clients and peers for outstanding results.


Christine holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the University of Michigan and a degree in political science (summa cum laude) from Washington University in St. Louis.
